I'm a San Diego-based painter.  I mix images with pattern and graphics from western and non-western sources.  The juxtaposition of the images with the pattern and color refers to the stories we tell ourselves.  I am interested in how we constantly identify, define and decorate ourselves in reference to the society and environment around us simply to try to understand and control the experience of being human.
